A historical rivalry takes place tonight as Liverpool take on Everton in the FA Cup. So lets talk about the game, between the two historical rivals.

Liverpool come into this game unbeaten in 16 games including the 1-1 draw between these two sides on December 10th.

Whereas Everton have only won one game in their last five, when they beat a helpless Swansea 3-1.

The line-ups will be the most interesting part of this game, with Klopp favouring to rest players in the most historic cup in the world.

Liverpool have only won two games out of seven FA Cup games with the German at the helm, those wins came against Plymouth and Exeter both after replays.

Liverpool played their youngest ever XI against Plymouth this time last season and it would not surprise if the likes of Ben Woodburn, Cameron Brannagan and even Rhian Brewster after his wonderful summer with England u17's, were in the squad.

There could also be a start for the £75m man Virgil van Dijk too. But Mo Salah and the ever talked about Philippe Coutinho will miss the game through injury.

On the Blue side of the Mersey, Everton have progressed through to the semi-finals and third round in the previous two seasons.

Sam Allardyce, the last manager to win at Anfield, will be looking to get another victory and progress his new side one step forward.

Everton could also turn to youth and play the likes of Tom Davies, Ademola Lookman and Jonjoe Kenny. They could also keep Wayne Rooney in the starting XI and Yannick Bolasie could make his long awaited return from injury.

The Toffees have not won at Anfield since 1999 and they will have a big chance this Friday if Klopp fields a weaken side.

My Predictions: Liverpool 1-1 Everton
